Mower Maintenance

Mar 27, 2013 | Seasonal Lawn Care and Information

mower maintenanceAs the days begin to warm and spring rains come down, microbial activity will jump start the cool season turf growth and it’s time to think about mowing and mower maintenance is a priority! Don’t wait until the last minute; inspect your lawn mower now.  Clean or replace the all filters, change the oil and sharpen the blades.

Unfortunately, the high percentage of ethanol in today’s gasoline has become quite a problem for small engines on your lawn mower and other gas powered garden equipment. If you have any type of gas powered tools, do not store gasoline in the unit for more than 30 days without adding a fuel stabilizer. And remember, it pays to perform a small amount of preventative maintenance.

Having your mower ready to go when you need it will save wear and tear on you and your lawn.
